Projects that Kisima Imarisha has prioritized for funding
includes the following:
1. Kisima VIPERA: VIPERA is the acronym for “Villages
Performing Arts” a Kisima Imarisha’s (KI) programme
that is aimed at providing community based ecotourism, over
44 youth groups supported by KI to discover, exploit, and
brand the product for ecotourism, communication and youth
self sustainability. As a forum, it goes beyond using theatre
for entertainment and education to providing linkages of
economic empowerment to the Orphaned and vulnerable children
and youth. The greatest achievement or the utmost goal of
the project is to enable youths gain self sustainability
for a better livelihood. |
In view of this
Kisima Imarisha trains/enhances the talents of the youth and
then markets their products.
2. Children sponsorship program:
3. Agribusiness: Youth involved in farming of products for sale
4. Cottage industry: Youth engaging in production of creative
products like; baskets, knit wears, sandals e.t.c
Sponsorship: Kisima Imarisha partners with
a California based organization called Love for Our Neighbors,
CK Foundation and others in securing sponsorships for the orphans
and vulnerable children. Kisima aims at supporting 35,000 children
by 2015. A child sponsored gets an opportunity to afford education,
food, shelter and psycho social support.
