Kisima
Imarisha is a youth Non-profit making Organisation based in
peri-urban and rural poor regions in Kenya. Kisima exists
to support vulnerable children and youth together with their
families living in poverty. Kisima Imarisha (KI) is one of
the leading youth not for profit making organizations that
have contributed greatly to HIV prevention efforts among children,
youth and caregivers in rural and urban areas especially in
parts of Nairobi and Central province communities. It was
incepted in 2005 with an objective of contributing to the
reduction of HIV prevalence, mitigating HIVAIDS effects among
children and caregivers. The face has changed drastically
having grown to have a capacity of addressing critically vulnerable
children needs and those of caregivers. |
| Our
program has expanded to offer education, life skills, training
of performing arts, psychosocial support, support with food
and clothing and advocacy. Youth and caregivers have received
training on agribusiness, parenting and entrepreneurship (with
an emphasis of production, marketing and saving) and healthy
family living. |
